Wireless electricity will soon be marketed, and we can drop those annoying power plugs once and for all!
I believe cable-free electric power was first demonstrated by Eric Giler on TED, and the video is well worth watching. Giler demos MIT’s amazing WiTricity which is a near-to-market invention that may soon recharge your cell phone, car or even pacemaker. I must say I really need this for optimal functioning!
Another related product which is just amazing is the Airnergy Charger which RCA presented at CES 2010. This tiny gadget harvests energy from WIFI signals, and will be available for only $40 around summer 2010!
